Restoring Our Campus. Strengthening Our Community.

In the aftermath of the recent tropical depression, our GCA campus sustained significant flooding that impacted key areas of our school. While we are incredibly grateful that all students, staff, and families are safe, we now face the challenge of restoring and resupplying the spaces that help make learning possible.

What’s Happened:

  • Flooding caused damage to several areas of our campus.
  • Restoration and cleanup efforts are already underway to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for our students.

How You Can Help:

Pray - Please continue to pray for our school community as we move through this recovery process.

Give - Your financial gifts will directly support the costs of restoring damaged areas, replacing necessary supplies, and getting our campus ready for our students.

Funds - Your financial gifts will directly support the costs of restoring damaged areas, replacing necessary supplies, and getting our campus ready for our students (See Donate link below).

Classrooms - You can choose to direct your giving to specific classroom needs that will support our teachers and students. Teachers have prepared wish lists reflecting the materials lost to the flooding. Amazon Donation List 1 & Amazon Donation List 2

Resources - If you have any of the following items available, you can donate them to the recovery cause by bringing them to the GCA campus Monday through Thursday 8am-3pm. These items include: Plastic tubs for storage, books for elementary readers, bookshelves (or similar furnishings) for classroom organization.

Team Grace - We have learned that the basement floor will be inaccessible for most of the Fall, and we will need to reorganize so that our second-graders continue to have an excellent learning environment. This is going to involve moving classroom furniture, supplies, decorations, and more before the school year begins.  After we have confirmed our plan, we will share different dates and shifts that will be available to anyone who can help.

The outpouring of love from this community has been amazing, and we want to keep the door open for anyone who wants to help.  If there are ways that you are interested in supporting GCA that are not listed above, please contact our team.

Thank you for standing with us. Your prayers, encouragement, and support mean so much to the GCA family as we work together to restore what has been lost and move forward with hope.

Below, you’ll see photos that show some of the damage caused by the flooding. These images give a glimpse into the impact on our classrooms and hallways, as well as some of the work already underway to restore our campus.
