Introducing our new Head of School

Hi Grace Community,

My name is Jeremy Wall.  I am husband to Paula Wall, father to Lily, Elena, and John Wall, and benefactor to 6 pets (3 cats, 3 dogs).  I am a career educator with 15 years of experience – 5 years as a classroom teacher and 10 years in school leadership. I am overjoyed to join this community as your Head of School this coming school year.

I have already written community twice, now three times.  Community is a word you will often hear me say, because a strong community is essential to all that we do.  When we are strong, we have trust, safety, connection, and direction.  We are united, and this allows us to pursue our shared aspirations despite even the most daunting challenges.  I am looking forward to more deeply knowing you – faculty, parents and students – and you knowing me.  In the coming months, some of this will happen organically (e.g. school events, athletics, daily work), and some through intentional efforts (e.g. listening sessions, one-on-ones, and surveys). Your insights are invaluable to me.

Above all, I firmly believe that a strong community taps into the brilliance of its members.  As we get to know one another, we will be able to identify opportunities for our faculty, parents, and students to contribute to the success of our school.  It should go without saying, but we need everybody.  From support during the instructional day to extracurricular activities to community partnerships, there is a place for anyone who wants to help.  We have a bright future in which our bonds are deep, our engagement is high, and we are enthusiastically responsible for amazing happenings at our school.
